A Little About Us . . .

Becs Photo

"Bruised but not Broken" is a cancer support charity founded to honour the life and courage of Rebecca Isaacs who died in 2010 at the age of 32 after a four year battle with bowel cancer. During those four years, regardless of how she was feeling, Bec refused to consider herself a victim of cancer. She claimed instead that she was "bruised but not broken" realising the importance of keeping, as far as was possible, a positive attitude and the belief that she would beat the disease.

Bec's cancer was already advanced when she was diagnosed but those of us who loved and supported her are sure that her belief in maintaining a positive attitude helped to prolong her life and allow her the "good times".

It was also very important to her to know that her family and friends had access to support both from each other and from "outside sources". From personal experience we discovered that although there is plenty of support out there, it is not always easy to find.

Our aim is to provide practical, emotional and financial support to those living with or affected by cancer.

You can contact us 24/7 on 608524896 so please, feel free to do so if you would like to talk to us.
